It Took Me: about 45 mins
Distance: 3km, round trip

At the end of the “Brandywine Falls lookout path” you will continue past the last fence. The route to the base is quite easy to follow, as many have done it before. Follow this path, it will loop around and begin taking you down. You will cut through a forest, down a rope ladder (low difficulty), across the base of a bouldery mountainside, and along a spongy moss floor. As you leave the rock field and enter the mossy area, you will begin to hear the noise of the falls grow louder again. This path is also marked – you will figure it out 😜🤙🏼
Restrooms: Yes, in the parking lot
This is a breathtaking adventure and well worth the extra trek! A favourite spot for photographers drawn to the PNW, this trail is fit for adventurers of all levels. Be mindful however, even in the best conditions this trail has slippery portions. Wear suitable footwear and prepare for a hike, not a gentle walk.
Personal anecdote: Minutes before these photos were taken I fell a nice & cute 4ft into the rocky falls, scraping up my hands and demolishing one of my knees. Needless to say, it is important to ALWAYS look where you are going and prepare for wet, west coast conditions. 🤦🏼♀️💦
NEW INFO: I have heard that the base area of these falls freezes over the Winter! I am hoping to get back over there this December, during my break from school. Will definitely post updated photos if the rumours are true 😋
